What a week celebrating all things Showdown!
We’re proud of our long-standing Variety Showdown Shield partnership with Port Adelaide Football Club and Adelaide Football Club — two clubs united to make a difference for South Australian children in need.
Here’s a glimpse of what we got up to:
• Showdown Shield Luncheon – bringing footy fans and Variety supporters together for exclusive access ahead of the big game.
• Variety Scholarship recipient, Milli, attended the PAFC captain’s run and met her idol, Zak Butters.
• Milli made her Showdown debut – running out with Port Adelaide, kicking the first goal, and presenting the Showdown Medal to Connor Rozee.
• Variety SA Chair, Sally Paech, proudly presented the Variety Showdown Shield to the the Adelaide Football Club.
Now in our 7th season of partnership, we’re incredibly proud of the impact created alongside both clubs through their community programs. Since 2018, Variety has invested over $1.5 million into the Port Adelaide Community Youth Program and the Adelaide Crows Foundation’s Open Parachute Program.
This year alone, these programs will positively impact over 25,000 children across South Australia.
