Program DescriptionThe Variety Smile Program offers financial and practical help to children affected by a rare disease or condition. It also facilitates access to information, resources and services for the families and carers of children affected by a rare disease or condition.
Our medical support grants help families purchase minor items and services relating to their child’s healthcare. Grants of $1,000 are available for expenses relating to medical appointments, healthcare items, therapy, respite care, parking and fuel. You can apply for one grant in any 12 month period.
In 2015 we helped nearly 130,000 children through grants
Equipment that helps children with their mobility, like wheelchairs, walking aids, and modified vehicles. Rare and expensive medical equipment and services including insulin pumps, wigs, feeds, nappies, oxygen pumps and more. Technology, programs and scholarships that help children unlock all the joys of education and communication.
