Variety SA Radiothon, 2016
The Variety SA Radiothon took to the airwaves on Friday, 22 July 2016
The Variety SA Radiothon for kids is another new initiative that has delivered huge benefits for our organisation in two ways.
Firstly the $91,000 net result to help children in SA, and the other enormous benefit is the priceless on air promotion of the work of Variety in the community. Over a 2 week campaign, Radio FIVEaa drove huge awareness for Variety featuring the children and families who benefit from the support of our donors. These first hand accounts underlined the diversity of support that Variety funding provides to many thousands of children in need in our State.
On the day, ten fantastic items were auctioned, one per hour, all generously donated to Variety SA. The Australian Outdoor Living swimming pool package led the way with holidays, exclusive dinners, furniture and even a share in two racehorses from McEvoy Mitchell racing on offer.
