COVID-19 Update: VSA Events Vaccination Status

January 18, 2022 by Variety South Australia

Following an extraordinary meeting of the Variety SA Board and extensive consultation with the Variety SA Honorary Medical Panel, we wish to advise of the implementation of a Variety SA Events COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.

Our obligation to protect the health and safety of all our staff, volunteers and stakeholders remains at our forefront and hence a decision has been made to extend the recently introduced Variety COVID-19 vaccination policy for the VSA office to all Variety SA events and functions.

This means that all participating entrants, officials, attendees and associated volunteers will need to be fully vaccinated, as per ATAGI recommendations and provide proof of vaccination via their MyGov certificate. Those with a medical exemption will be required to provide evidence as per ATAGI guidelines.

As we navigate the next stage of the COVID-19 roadmap, which has seen a significant escalation in positive cases, we need to continue to work to protect our people and to provide the best possible chance of maintaining business continuity.

The continued health advice is that the best defence against community transmission and more severe health impacts is vaccination.

Please note this policy will continue to be reviewed in line with current Australian & South Australian Government advice. Please follow the link below to see Frequently Asked Questions regarding this update.
