Kids now getting to School thanks to Variety and Woolworths

Sunshine Coach Program

March 7, 2019 by Ammi Trainor

Christies Beach Primary is a complex primary school with a special options, junior primary class. Some of the children in the special options class are unable to attend on a regular basis as their parents are unable to drive and don’t live within close proximity of the school. Variety SA granted a 12 seater Sunshine Coach valued at $45,000 to help transport students to and from school, as well as get them to weekly swimming lessons and school excursions.

Grants such as these are only made possible with the support of our sponsors, such as Woolworths with local Woolworths store manager Rebecca attending the ceremony to present the school principal (Catherine) with keys to the bus. Thanks to Woolworths State Admin Manager Rossana, Group Manager Darren, and Admin Assistant Kristy for also attending to help make the presentation a success. We are grateful to Woolworths for their ongoing support for SA kids in need.
